Platsen är Dean´s Blue Hole på Bahamas, fridykaren världsmästaren Guillaume Nery och den här filmen är den bästa vi har sett i kategorin. Vi bad vår dykexpert, Annelie Pompe, slå Guillaume en signal (de är givetvis polare):

ANNELIE: How did you get the idea of this wonderful movie?
GUILLAUME: I wanted to show in 4 minutes why I freedive. I had this project  in mind of linking the water and the feeling of flying  since 4 years.

How many takes did you need to do the movie?
We had many takes during many days. We were diving in the afternoon, 2 hours each, during the vertical blue 2010 (tävling i bahamas). Basicaly, I was diving deep in the morning, it was the competition already, had lunch, a short nap and we were back in the Blue hole for shooting. On the evening we were editing the clip! The days were very busy!

How deep did you go?
As it is an artistic project, we don’t really want to reveal all the secret. As a freediver, I am sure you can guess!  (Med tanke på ljuset och var i det blå hålet i Bahamas de befann sig så gissar jag på max 40 meter)

Were you aware that it would create such an impact outside the freediving world?
Absolutly not! We knew that it was a different approach than the classic freediving movies. After showing the first version of the movie during the closing ceremony to all the competitors, we started to understand that it could create a impact for not only freedivers, but divers and ocean lovers in general. But 3,4 millions of hits, it s just crazy!! We are so happy to have shared so much emotions with the general public. We wanted to create in ONE movie, a link between the 3 elements: water, air (base jump) and earth (climbing).
